In addition to many of TextMate’s high-heralded features (Macros, Snippets…), Sublime Text has an interesting mini-map feature that they claim allows the code to be viewed from a distance of 10,000 feet. Sublime Text provides solutions for some of TextMate’s caveats Sublime works on Windows and Linux platforms as well as Mac, while retaining TextMate’s simplistic charm. Sublime Text is a Text-editor heavily inspired by TextMate. These three text editors may provide decent alternatives for the various caveats associated with TextMate. Unfortunately, many would be developers are deterred by its price tag (around $55) or simply cannot use the editor as it is Macintosh-only. TextMate is one of the greatest text editors for the Mac. The only downfall of this method is that you have to repeat the steps for each folder you want to edit.Three Text Editor Alternatives To TextMate This will allow you to edit, delete, or insert keys in the folder. Plus, you can change the Registry keys or folder owner to yourself. If you use more than one user on your computer, you must repeat these steps every time you access a folder that a program or the other user owns. More specifically, the current user has full control. If you can’t edit the Registry on Windows 10, you should have full access to the folder after these steps. After that, close the window by clicking OK. Before closing the Permissions Window, select Users from the Group or user names list and check the box under allow for Full Control.Click OK on the Select User or Group window and the Advanced Security Settings window.In the Select User or Group form, under Enter the object name to select, provide your username on that computer or your Microsoft email address if it is associated with your computer.At the top of the window, you’ll see Owner:, where is most likely the name of the program that created the folder.The Permissions window will open click on the Advanced button near the bottom-right corner.
